There are many many reasons why I love my Aunt Paula, and one of them is this glorious stuff
Chocolate Malt Ice Cream
1 cup cream
2 cups skim milk
1 cup white sugar (no substituting y'hear!)
1/4 cup malt powder
1/4 cup cocoa powder
pinch of salt
any of your favorite mix-ins added during the last 5 mins of freezing* (we like chopped Ghiradelli 60% chocolate chips...we are chocolate snobs, I must confess)
*prepare according to your ice cream maker manufacturer's directions
You can also top yours with sliced bananas like we do (highly recommended).
I craved chocolate ice cream for the entirety of my last pregnancy. So, my husband bought me a fabulous ice cream maker, and my sweet Auntie gave me the recipe. The craving has not gone away, and it doesn't appear ever to do so. *Sigh* Thank goodness for nursing! ;-)

I think that I would also add a handful of pecans. Most delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe. It makes me wish that I had an ice cream maker.
