Hidden art

I love exploring.  There is so much to marvel at in our Lord's creation!  It's amazing how you can just step out your front door and find yourself on an adventure by just examining the ground beneath you.  For instance, today these little lovelies caught my eye...

...according to my 'Mushrooms of North America' handbook, they are Bird's Nest Mushrooms (I'd say that fits the bill, wouldn't you?).  They are apparently non-toxic, but I doubt that I'll be trying them.  This particular fungi was too small for my camera to capture well, so I had to pull an image off of the dandy ol' internet, but this is exactly what they looked like. These are so small, that it would be easy to miss them, and I fear that many people do.  I know I certainly did until today.  Who knew that fungus could be so cute!

Oh it's the bon bons for sure! Lol! Naw, other things have been higher priorities as of late..but I'll post something soon. Loved the ski trip pics by the way! We have been wanting to do some cross-country this year but haven't had the opportunity. Fun, fun, fun :-)
