Help for itchy babies

Bath Dumplings

  • Nylon stockings (Wal-Mart has these in plastic containers for about 33 cents...you can get 6 dumplings out of one pair)
  • Coarsely ground oats
  • Chamomile tea bags, opened
  • Dried lavender, crumbled (optional
  • Powdered milk (optional)

  1. Cut each stocking into three sections and tie a knot at the end of each section.
  2. Combine the next four ingredients and add to stocking pouches (about 2 TBLSP)
  3. Tie another knot to close up the dumplings
Place in the bath with your baby (or toddler...or yourself even...we momma's need a good soak now and then too, y'know).  These dumplings make a soothing, creamy wash.  Make sure to use a fresh dumpling for each bath to avoid bacterial issues.  We use these with our bear cubs to help with eczema and they are a great wash for a newborn's sensitive skin.
