Awww, my first and most loved kitty was a tortoise-shell too. She did a good bit of that Hiss noise too, I remember. Could have been due to Gracie's teasing though. Were you ever there when she launched poor kitty from the playhouse upper window?
Wow. I wish I could remember that incident! I do remember the kitty though. The kids absolutely adore this kitty, despite all the hissy-fitting. I'm not sure the feeling is mutual though. ;-)
