Just look at that sky.....

Dear sweet Idaho...*sigh*
We are so very happy and beyond contented where we are...and yet...we miss it.  Does that seem odd?  Content, yet missing a place that we have never been able to call home but always felt like home when I was growing up.  Smelling the summer storms...sleeping on haystacks...singing hymns beside Grandpa's grave.  Sweet times.  Times I would like my children to know...someday.

God is good.  He has given us a wonderful place to "hang our hats"...to make into a beautiful home overflowing with His goodness and a place in the wild yonder to build dreams on.  That is grace beyond measure, indeed.  :-)

Oh Claire, I know what it is to be homesick too.

One of my favorite quotes is by St. Augustine and quoted in Malcolm Muggerridge's book "Confessions of a Twentieth Century Pilgrim":

"Now let us hear, brothers, let us hear and sing; let us pine for the City where we are citizens, By pining we are already there; we have already cast our hope, like an anchor on that coast."

Hard to imagine that as much as we yearn for people and places here on earth, heaven will be infinitely greater and feel more our home. It will be grand! (But hopefully you'll not have to wait too long for the home you want here too.)

I love that quote too Faith! And Heaven will indeed be so very grand! Even though we love Idaho, we also love knowing that God has us where He wants us. There is SO MUCH joy in that!

P.S. We miss you too!
